Research:
I am primarily interested in the effects and origins of magmatism on Earth, both in the present and in the distant past. I work from both the planet-scale on themes such as the formation of Earth’s crust and lithospheric mantle and global elemental cycling, down to local-scale investigations of the magma plumbing systems of volcanoes.
My current research focuses on contemporary eruptions on the Reykjanes Peninsula, magmatism along the Icelandic Plume and rift, geochemical provincialism within the East African Rift, and understanding planet-scale processes through the isotope geochemistry of the Earth’s mantle.
Please see my Google Scholar Webpage for an up-to-date list of my publications.
