Postdoctoral Position in Paleontology
We offer a 2 year postdoc position in Paleontology, at the Friedrich-Alexander University, GeoZentrum Nordbayern. The opening is in the framework of the Paleosynthesis project funded by the Volkswagen Foundation.
Your tasks
The successful candidate will provide scientific support for international workshops on paleontological themes. Workshops will be held twice a year and the topics will be defined based on a competitive call. You will ensure that publications emerge from these workshops and you coordinate collaborative grant applications.
Your qualifications
A PhD in Paleontology or a closely related subject is required. You have a strong and diverse background in paleontology and you have demonstrated ability to write high-quality publications. You have skills in quantitative methods and experience in managing people. Your English has a high standard and you work efficiently and independently. Success in grant applications would be an additional merit.
Duration
The position is for 2 years in first instance. The preferred starting date is August 1, 2020. The employment will be as Research Associate (full time, wage agreement E 13 TV-L, Bavaria).
